GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The University of Florida Police Department (UFPD) recently acquired “Triple Crown” status by receiving accreditation by three distinct entities. The three agencies to award accreditation to UFPD are The International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA), the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) and the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA).
UFPD is the first university law enforcement agency in the country to receive the Triple Crown designation, and was recently recognized by IACLEA for this accomplishment.
